Loan Details
- Maximum Loan Amount: $40,000
- Repayment Term: 10 Years, Interest-Free
- Loan Type: Unsecured Personal Loan on Approved Credit
The Canada Greener Homes Loan offers homeowners the opportunity to finance their energyefficient retrofits with a maximum loan amount of $40,000.
The actual loan amount is determined based on the selected retrofits and quotes obtained.
Please note that the eligible loan amount is subject to industry standards and market norms, which may result in a loan amount lower than the quoted cost. In such cases, homeowners are responsible for funding the difference. Each eligible property and homeowner are eligible for a maximum of one loan. The loan can only be used to finance eligible products and installations recommended by an energy advisor and approved for the grant.
To facilitate the start of the retrofit work, a portion of the loan can be disbursed upfront, as contractors often require a down payment. The remaining balance of the loan will be disbursed upon successful completion of the retrofits, following a post-retrofit evaluation.
